Sometimes you recognize the exceptional quality of a fragrance even though it doesn't personally resonate with you. This is exactly how I feel about Strange Heaven Out of the Blue. Right from the start, the opening feels high-quality, elegant, and finely balanced. Clive Christian's signature is unmistakable: noble raw materials, harmonious transitions, and a luxurious overall impression. However, the longer I wear it, the more I perceive a slightly aromatic, lavender-like facet. It is by no means dominant, but it is enough for my nose to evoke memories of classic, somewhat old-fashioned fragrance profiles. It's precisely this subtle vintage touch that triggers a slight personal reaction in me. I rarely warm up to such accords. Therefore, a certain distance remains between objective recognition and the subjective wearing experience. I have no complaints about the quality; it is at the usual high Clive Christian level. Nevertheless, Strange Heaven Out of the Blue is one of those fragrances where I respect the composition more than I actually want to wear it myself. A luxurious and excellently composed fragrance that should delight lovers of classic-aromatic elegance. For my taste, however, the slightly lavender-like, nostalgic feel ensures that the spark doesn't ignite. Furthermore, the scent vanishes on me like nothing.
