Side Effect

Fleeting rum meets plenty of vanilla and a bit of sandalwood, underscored by a minimal pinch of cinnamon.

The fragrance can now quite rightly be described as a classic. Absolutely harmonious and perfect.

"Holy shit!" – the first sniff was an absolute wow moment. Rum, tobacco, cinnamon... in the past, I would have avoided fragrances with this scent pyramid like the plague. In the opening, Side Effect seems alcoholic, heavy, sensual, and full of character. I’ve never sniffed my own skin so often while testing a new fragrance. While my nose was still busy processing the smokiness – my comfort zone being more creamy, powdery, clean scents – my girlfriend said she didn't notice the tobacco at all. For her, a composition of cocoa and vanilla developed on my skin. I didn't consciously notice the cocoa myself, but the tobacco stayed with me for a while before the fragrance became much softer in the drydown: cozy, close to the skin, and almost creamy. A beautiful, boozy unisex fragrance that I personally prefer to wear in the evening – whether for a date, a theater visit, or an upscale dinner. Side Effect is pure luxury for me. I wouldn't be surprised if I buy a bottle soon.
