Basso

This perfume is essentially the same DNA as TdH. If you like that one, you will surely like this one. Basso feels lighter and brighter and has imo slightly better staying power than TdH. In the drydown it also feels distinctly more modern and more refined. For me, it lacks a little unique-ness but it's a good buy for anyone looking for a hot weather frag they can grab every day and can tolerate the higher pricepoint compared to the original. I'd categorize it as masculine-leaning, since it's so close to TdH.

The opening is pleasantly fresh and citrusy (wonderful grapefruit notes), but then quickly shifts into an incredibly deep, smoky-woody, and earthy direction. The combination of citrus peel, vetiver, and resins is perfectly balanced – masculine, elegant, and extremely sophisticated. 🍊🍋

Smells really good and nicely sharp. However, I immediately had to think of an old aftershave of my uncle's. This composition can also be found in the designer range. Nevertheless, it is well done.
