The story
Parfums de Marly was founded by Julien Sprecher in 2009. The Maison grows from his fascination with perfumery and the splendour of the 18th century, with its company base in Paris.
The brand translates the spirit of Château de Marly into contemporary haute parfumerie. Historical references meet open-ended creation, carefully selected materials and bottles whose horse emblem recalls the Chevaux de Marly.
01 · The founder

A modern Maison shaped by personal vision

Julien Sprecher founded Parfums de Marly in 2009 from his passion for perfumery and the 18th century. He presents the Maison as a meeting point between tradition and the present. His artistic direction gives the creations a clear point of view, while perfumers bring the olfactive and technical work. Layton, for example, is associated with Hamid Merati-Kashani.

02 · The spirit of Marly

History as a living code

Château de Marly represents the private and festive side of the French court. The Maison carries that history into its name, horse emblems and bottle design. The Chevaux de Marly were commissioned from Guillaume Coustou by Louis XV in 1743. For the Maison, this heritage is not a museum piece but a design framework for contemporary fragrances.

03 · Savoir-faire

Precious materials, modern tools

In the Maison’s savoir-faire, Damascena rose, natural oud and Bourbon vanilla illustrate its material vocabulary. The Delina collection places rose at the centre, while Haltane and Layton Exclusif use natural oud. The Maison also describes modern molecules, upcycling and green chemistry as complements to traditional perfumery.

For me, Meliora is a beautiful, feminine fragrance with a wonderfully fruity freshness. The blend of red berries, blackcurrants, and delicate blossoms feels elegant, light, and very high-quality at the same time. The fragrance radiates joy of life without being intrusive and is perfect for spring and summer. I especially like the harmonious balance between fruitiness and elegance. A true feel-good scent with a lot of charisma and a guarantee for compliments. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Valaya is my absolute favorite scent for summer: clean, powdery, fresh, luxurious, not too overpowering, yet intense and impressive. You get so many compliments and inquiries, whether at the doctor's, the nail salon, while shopping—simply everywhere! Dreamy and unforgettable! My 3rd bottle in a row, addictive factor ;-)
