The story
The Nose Behind is Herbert Stricker's own fragrance collection. The brand describes its perfumes as an olfactory diary and travel book, giving favorite places, situations, and memories a liquid form. The company is based in Frankfurt am Main.
The twelve-piece collection moves from Miami South Beach and Bangkok Shock to Fleur Alpine, which draws on a childhood memory of the Nigritella in South Tyrol. Herbert Stricker works with several perfumers, including Andreas Wilhelm.
01 · A personal fragrance archive

Herbert Stricker makes memories wearable

Herbert Stricker describes The Nose Behind as an olfactory diary and travel book. The collection therefore starts with personal images rather than an abstract fragrance family: places, situations, and memories become the starting points for individual perfumes.
02 · Places as scent images

From Miami to Kobe

The fragrance names give the collection a geographic and situational rhythm. Miami South Beach, Bangkok Shock, and Kobe Gardens translate different travel images into scent. The sample set brings together twelve such individual journeys.

03 · An alpine memory

Fleur Alpine and the Nigritella

According to the brand, Fleur Alpine pays tribute to the rare, protected Nigritella and to a childhood memory in South Tyrol. Andreas Wilhelm translated the idea through fresh, green, and floral facets with a chocolate accent.

What the community says about The Nose Behind

10/10
For me, Suits is a modern, citrusy men's fragrance in which I primarily perceive a clear, fresh citrus note and a clearly noticeable pineapple nuance, which together convey a clean, dynamic impression. While Oxford embodies the more classic, traditional gentleman in a tailored suit for me, Suits interprets this suit theme in a more contemporary and fresh way, with more fruitiness and an overall lighter feel. The smooth, woody-musky base ensures that the fragrance appears very harmonious and versatile – it is equally suited for an elegant suit in the office as it is as a well-groomed everyday fragrance in an active daily routine and attracts positive attention without ever being intrusive.

Opens with tobacco and oud. Honey takes over and initiates the drydown. Transforms into a creamy coconut/sandalwood scent.

I find the fragrance truly extraordinary. It smells very fresh, is ideal for summer and has a nice musk note. A scent that I like very much.
